GREEENLIGHT HELPS CELEBRATE THE 50TH DAYTONA 500

Indianapolis, IN (February 15, 2008) –Daytona 500 weekend is here and race fans, NASCAR drivers, teams and sponsors couldn’t be more excited for “the Great American Road Race’s” 50th Anniversary. To help commemorate NASCAR’s most prestigious race, Greenlight Collectibles has worked with Motorsports Authentics, NASCAR, the Daytona 500 and Chevrolet to produce the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Daytona 500 Pace Car in 1:24 scale.

The 1:24 replica, measures approximately 8.5 inches long, and is officially licensed by Chevrolet and the Daytona 500. The die-cast replica has authentic Pace Car detailing designed in red, blue, and goldtone shades with the 2008 50th Anniversary Daytona 500 logos. The GreenLight Collectible features a die-cast metal body, real rubber tires, detailed interior, opening hood with manufacturer-specific engine, opening trunk, opening doors, sequential numbering on the base and custom window box packaging.

Only 6,384 replicas of the 2008 50th Anniversary Daytona Pace car have been made. The unique replica is now available online at QVC: 2008 Daytona Pace Car   The models are also available through the Motorsports Authentics’ Distribution network. As an OEM customer of Motorsports Authentics, GreenLight is not distributing this item.

The Daytona 500 takes place on Sunday, February 17, 2008. The goldtone 2008 Chevy Corvette Z06 Daytona 500 Pace Car will be driven by the legend Junior Johnson. Johnson won 50 NASCAR races in his illustrious career, capped by a victory at the 1960 Daytona 500.
