A Two-Way Street

Question: Sometimes you'll make the same car with a rear spolier and sometime without.  I noticed this on the '70/'71 'Cuda.  How do you cover up the holes where the spolier mounts on the trunk?  Is it a different body?

Answer: Good question, Tony.  We use only one body, but the factory is able to plug those holes in the mold before injecting the metal.  That way there are no holes in the final model.  On the other hand, if we want to use the spoiler, the factory can leave the holes open.

Question: Why is the 1963 Chrysler 300 so large?  It doesn't seem to fit with the other GreenLight cars.

Answer: Unlike some manufacturers that vary the scale of their cars to make the model fit the package, we try our best to build every GreenLight replica to 1:64 scale.  The real 1963 Chrysler was a BIG car!
