GREENLIGHT COLLECTIBLES INKS LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH SMOKEY BEAR
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 25, 20210 – GreenLight Collectibles has entered into a licensing agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service for the famous Smokey Bear. As part of the new deal, GreenLight will be licensed to produce die-cast vehicles and action figures portraying Smokey Bear.
“Smokey Bear is a household name known across the United States and we look forward to producing die-cast vehicles and action figures in order to help further Smokey Bear’s message of wildfire prevention,” said Russell Hughes, GreenLight Collectibles President.
Smokey Bear was created in 1944 as a wildlife prevention program to promote appropriate behavior with fire in order to help prevent human-caused wildfires. The campaign is the longest-running public service advertising campaign in United States history and is beloved by both children and adults.
Maureen Brooks, Smokey Bear Licensing Program Manager, added, “The Forest Service is excited to be working with GreenLight to build awareness for Smokey Bear’s mission. GreenLight’s licensed die-cast vehicles and action figures will be a great addition to our growing portfolio of more than 100 Smokey Bear licensees.”
The licensing partnership was facilitated by the Forest Service’s official licensing agent, Perpetual Licensing. The initial product line is set to be released in 2021 and will be widely available at retailers across the U.S.
