INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Vincent Tang, CEO of GreenLight Collectibles, has named Amy Boylan President effective as of April 1st, 2024.
“The first thing in her resume that caught my attention was the expertise she has in the automotive industry,” Vincent said. “She has a very clear mindset of what to do. Although she’s passionate, she’s very conscientious.”
Boylan’s responsibilities at GreenLight will include overseeing the day-to-day operations including sales, marketing, licensing, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Under Boylan’s leadership, GreenLight is committed to expand its product offerings and forge new partnerships within the automotive and entertainment industries. Greenlight will continue to deliver high-quality, intricately detailed diecast models.
Boylan also wants to restart GreenLight’s Under the Hood club with premium castings and packaging.
“I love a good challenge…” Boylan said. “I still have fire in my belly.”
Boylan’s Previous Experiences
Boylan began her career in the software industry making licensed video games, then moved to the toy industry in 1998 when she was recruited by Mattel Toys to launch The Hot Wheels Red Line Club. The RLC was a members-only group with exclusive premium cars and content.
The collector club was a huge success, so Boylan was asked to become the Senior Vice President at Hot Wheels. During her time at Mattel, she was known as “Hot Wheels Amy” because of how dedicated she was to the hobby, and to collectors.
“You’re not just getting a car, you’re getting an experience,” Boylan said.
After her tenure at Mattel, she became the President and COO of Shelby American. She took the company from $8 million in deficit to $200 million revenue.
“Even if a company is in trouble, it must do the right things for its employees and customers,” Boylan said in an interview with Autoweek. “What you do to the morale of a company, you don’t see on paper. Wall Street only sees what’s on paper.”
Boylan, an automotive enthusiast and an expert in optimizing corporate operations, has also had successful tenures as President of West Coast Customs and Saleen Automotives.
